Day 112:ABC’s

Today is now day 9 of 10 GIVES that will change the world for $10.

I have always had this dream that one day I would either volunteer at an orphanage in Africa, adopt a child from Africa or just start my own orphanage. When I win the lottery I could do all of those things but until then I like to do what I can to help the children in desperate need. Babies are born every day into circumstances I will never experience in my lifetime personally nor my children. As my best girlfriend said to me today we are just so blessed just to be born in Canada.

Today my GIVE is helping to feed and provide care for an abandon baby in Kenya. If the laws allowed I would not just make a small donation but I would adopt a dozen of these babies and provide them with a home & family.

GIVE 111 / Day 111

Samson

Feed the Children has a program called ABC. This stands for Abandon Babies and Children Centre. Here is just a sample of one story from the Centre:

“Samson begins life again at ABC Center born this year, Samson spent his first month with a mother who would eventually abandon him. Without food in the house or an income to buy it, this little boy’s mother wanted more than anything to save her baby’s life. So she handed her newborn over to strangers at a local church. When the mother never returned, the police were called and Samson became the newest member of the ABC Center family.”

This story is one of thousands of stories of  babies that parents just can’t care for. I know I would do anything to save my child’s life even if it meant giving them to someone else that could care when it means their life will be saved.

My donation today will help to feed and care for one of these babies. If we all gave $10 to help one child so many babies would survive.

Time Commitment: 5 minutes for an online donation

Cost: $10.00
