My grandmother lives alone and she finds walking a bit of a struggle. She loves Fall and it was a beautiful fall day. I decided to skip hanging with my friends today and went over to my Grandmothers so I could take her for a walk around the neighborhood. I did not call first, as I knew she would be home. I wanted to surprise her.
We walked around the block, looking at the color changes on the trees. She walks slowly but loved that we had some time together on this beautiful day. She told me a great story about my mom, how she used to go to the park and run through the leaves in the Fall. When I dropped my grandmother back at home she was so thrilled to have enjoyed this beautiful day. I was even happier that I could share some time with her. I went off to see my friends after our walk.
