Most of us have the ability to maintain our dignity and health with simple pleasures such as showering, brushing our teeth and wearing clean clothes, for others it's not so easy.
Fortunately there are wonderful groups and shelters that lend a hand to the homeless and those in need, but they need help. Yesterday I delivered a bag full of hotel and airline toiletries and supplies to the Wayside Chapel in Potts Point who on average provide 270 showers and toiletries and 330 changes of clothes each week.
And while this goes against my Plastic Free July Challenge I believe these supplies are for a good cause. The toiletries are collected by my travelling work colleagues who elect to use their own supplies and donate these items to those in far greater need.
