I was sitting in a working room for students in my school when a group of other people entered, making a lot of noise and yelling at each other. I obviously was annoyed by that but not too much, I was still able to do my exercises. This one girl of the group was telling her friends to be more quiet over and over again because they were other people working/studying and she kept on repeating the sighed statement "the poor people". She was also studying for something (chemistry?) and then asked her friends about the calculator and even though they responded, they didn't seem to be too interested in what she was saying and so she ended up not having one. Considering that I wanted to give something to the world today, I quickly decided to offer mine to her (of course under the condition she'd give it back, I did not say so but I guess it's obvious) while being on my way out of the room. She looked at me in surprise, apparently not having expected that. Then she smiled and thanked me but eventually refused and said "it would be fine, it's okay". I just responded okay and then I left the room. I did not try to flee. It wasn't as awkward. I felt happy afterwards, just for trying and I think it does count because I only had good intentions and the wish to help someone, so to give something to the world. And it might made her day a bit better as well, just to see that someone cares.
