I could spend hours on YouTube, flicking from the awesome to the zany. But this is how I was introduced to 365give.
When my nephew recommended TEDtalks to me, I went straight on the laptop.
In August 2017, I watched Jacqueline Way’s TEDx talk about 365give.
Whether I was drawn by the title, or the fact that it was Stanley Park (where I loved to spend time when I visited Vancouver two years ago), I’m not sure. But I am so glad that I did watch it. “So simple a 3-year-old could do it”, but such an inspiring idea.
I went on Jacqueline’s website, and sent a ‘thank you’ message to her and her son Nic for starting the ripple.
I told her that I had followed the link and registered on the “freerice” website, and was now making my #365give daily giving list.
Just a few hours later, I received SUCH an enthusiastic and encouraging email from Jacqueline.
She told me that their new website that would be up shortly and invited me to join their global community of schools, families, companies, clubs, and individuals.
I was hooked …! This is how I was introduced to 365give and I have not looked back since.
